Line & Shag lessons starting at 7:00 pm.

2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month we have dancing & DJ @ Checkers.
LWSC regularly scheduled club meetings are the 4th Saturday of the month @ 8:00 pm.  All members are encouraged to come and participate.

 Beach Blast 2008

RETURN OF THE BEACH BLAST

 

The Beach Blast at the Red Fez Shrine Club on Lake Wylie returns this July 26th. We’ll have the Silent Auction again, as well as a raffle and fireworks. It was decided to have a cook-out menu of hot dogs, brats, baked, beans, slaw and home-made desserts. We are asking our members to provide cookies or brownies for the desserts. Beer, wine, iced tea and sodas will be provided. We are checking into also having some kind of “swampwater” until it runs out.

We have 3 great deejays: Bobby Bennett, Gary Sarvis and Tommy Samole.

Thank you to those who have agreed to chair some of our committees. These members are Lorie Sigmon: Decorations; Marisa Bailey: Silent Auction; Annette Vasher: Welcome Table. Phone Marisa at 803-547-1123 to learn where and when to take your silent auction donations.

There are sign-up sheets on the corkboard at Checkers for those who are willing to help out before or at the Beach Blast. Please sign up!

We still need someone to coordinate the food, but we should be able to get what we need for a very good price, thanks to Beau Byrum. We also need a Publicity Chairman. This basically means contacting the newspapers and radio stations to promote the party as it gets closer and see that it gets on the appropriate web sites. If you are willing to take on this responsibility, please let Sharon or Gary Vasher know (803-802-3011).

Another big Thank You to Lorie Sigmon, who persuaded Frugal MacDoogal’s to donate a motor scooter and bicycle for our auction and raffle.

The admission price for the Beach Blast is $20/person with 100% of our profits going to the Shrine Hospital for Children. Please encourage friends and acquaintances to attend.
